It’s a very heart-breaking news that popular singer, Krishnakumar Kunnath (KK) died after a live performance at Kolkata due to a massive heart attack as per a preliminary post-mortem report.

Introduction – Krishnakumar Kunnath was popularly called as KK, was an Indian playback singer who recorded songs in different languages such as Telugu, Hindi, Odia, Malayalam, Gujrati, Tamil, Bengali, Assamese, Marathi, and many more. He started his career by singing for jingles and advertisements and debut with a popular singer A.R. Rahman soundtrack. He introduced his debut album that name is Pal in the year 1999. There are several popular songs that sung by KK such as the Tamil song ‘’Apadi Podu’’, ‘Hindi song ‘’Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai’’ from Who Lamhe (2006), ‘’Khuda Jane’’ from Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008), ‘’Tadap Tadap Ke Is Dil Se’’ from Devdas (2002), ‘’Mat Aazme Re’’ from Murder 3 (2013), ‘’Ankhon Mein Teri’’ from Om Shanti Om (2007), ‘’Dola Re Dola’’ from Devdaas (2002), and many more songs. He has received Filmfare Awards South and sex Filmfare awards nominations due to his best songs.
Personal Information – KK was born on August 23, 1968, to Malayali parents, and was brought up in New Delhi. He sang 3,500 jingles before breaking into Bollywood and made an appearance in the song ‘’Josh of India’’ that was launched to support the Indian Cricket Team in the World Cup 1999. In the year 1991, KK married with Jyothi andhis son Nakul Krishna Kunnath sang the song ‘’Masti’’ from his album Humsafar with him. He also had a daughter.

Death – Krishna Kunnath performed a live concert at a college fest in Nazrul Mancha auditorium in South Kolkata on May 3, 2022. After the live performance, he complained of feeling unwell soon and suffered a cardiac arrest. Later he was taken to hospital where he was declared dead on arrival at an age of 53 years old.
