In the first Qualifier or 57th match of IPL 2021, Chennai Super Kings won the match by 4 wickets with Delhi Capitals (DC) due to great performance in batting.
Earlier CSK won the toss and chose to bowl first thus DC first batted and made a good score of 172/5 due to great batted by Prithvi Shaw 60 (34), Rishabh Pant 51*(35), and Shimron Hetmyer 37 (24). Josh Hazlewood 2/29 (4), Ravindra Jadeja 1/23 (3), and Moeen Ali 1/27 (4) were good bowled from the CSK side.
Due to the great partnership of 110 runs between Ruturaj Gaikwad 70 (50), and Robin Uthappa 63 (44), CSK won the match by 4 wickets with DC. In the last, the inning of MS Dhoni 18* (6) is very important to win this match with DC. Only Tom Curran 3/29 (3.4) was well bowled from the DC side.
After losing this match, DC will play with that team who win the eliminator match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). CSK reached the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 final after winning the first Qualifier match with DC.
Due to great performance in batting, Ruturaj Gaikwad (CSK) 70 (50), was declared as the Player of the Match.
