In the 50th match of IPL 2021, Delhi Capitals (DC) won the match by 3 wickets with Chennai Super Kings due to good performance in bowling and batting.
Earlier DC won the toss and chose to bowl first thus, CSK first batted and made a low score of 136/5 (20) due to good bowled by Axar Patel 2/18 (4), Ravichandran Ashwin 1/20 (4), and Avesh Khan 1/35 (4). Only Ambati Rayudu 55* (43) good batted from the CSK side. CSK set the target of 137 in 20 overs for DC to win the match.
During chasing, DC chased the target of 137 in 19.4 overs with losing 7 wickets and won the thriller match by 3 wickets with CSK. Both Shikhar Dhawan 39 (35), and Shimron Hetmyer 28* (18) were well batted from the DC side. Shardul Thakur 2/13 (4), and Ravindra Jadeja 2/28 (4) were good bowled from the CSK side. After winning this match, DC placed at the top position in the IPL 2021 with 20 points.
Due to good performance in bowling, Axar Patel (DC), 2/18 (4), was declared as the Player of the Match.
