History – The staff of Givver.com spent five months working with elected officials in the United States in the year 2013. This organization also works for charity through social media influencers for encouraging a large number of people to donate via social media. All the mayors and governors of the United States declared Social Media Giving Day will be celebrated on July 15 every year.
Significance – This day aims is to encourage social media used as a platform for charities by increasing public consciousness on the significance of funds raising. A large number of people use this platform for charity due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Due to Covid-19, the people of the United States face difficulty and lost their jobs so fewer people may be charity through social media.
