In the second match of IPL 2021, Delhi Capitals (DC) won the match by 7 wickets with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) due to a great opening partnership by Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw.
Previously DC won the toss and chose to bowl first so CSK first batted and made a challengeable score of 188/7 (20) due to good batted by Suresh Raina 54 (36) with four sixes and three boundaries, Moeen Ali 36 (24) with four boundaries and two sixes, and Sam Curran 34 (15) with four boundaries and two sixes. Avesh Khan 2/23 (4), and Chris Woakes 2/18 (3) bowled well from the DC side.
The inning of DC started with a great opening partnership by Shikhar Dhawan 85 (54) smashed 10 boundaries and two sixes, and Prithvi Shaw 72 (38) smashed nine boundaries and three sixes, and the first wicket falls in 138 runs. Thus, DC easily chased this target due to the great opening partnership and won this match by 7 wickets with CSK.
Due to great performance in batting, Shikhar Dhawan 85 (54) was declared as the Player of the Match.
