India won the first one-day match by 66 runs with England in Pune

Due to great performance in batting and bowling, India won the first one-day match by 66 runs against England at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune and takes lead (1-0) in this series.

Previously England won the toss and chose to bowl first, India first batted and made a huge score of 317/5 in 50 overs due to great batted by Shikhar Dhawan 98 (106), K.L.Rahul 62 (43) not out,  Krunal Pandya 58 (31) not out, and Virat Kohli 56 (60). Only Ben Stokes 3/34 (8) bowled well in this match from the England side.

The opening partnership of England is 135 runs that great start by England. But after losing the first wicket, Indian bowlers collapse the England batting line at 251 runs in 42.1 overs and won this match by 66 runs against England in the first one-day match. Only Jonny Bairstow 94 (66) batted well from the England side.

Prasidh Krishna 4/54 (8.1), Shardul Thakur 3/37 (6), and Bhubaneswar Kumar 2/30 (9) bowled well and collapse the batting line of England at 251 in 42.1 overs

Due to great batted by Shikhar Dhawan 98 (106) with 11 boundaries and 2 sixes, was declared as the player of the match.
