It’s a very proud moment for our country that Indian athlete, Baranica Elangovan created history and won the bronze medal in the women’s pole vault at the Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 in Japan. After winning the medal, Baranica Elangovan become the first ever Indian women to win the medal in the women’s pole vault in the history of Asian Games

Baranica Elangovan was placed in the third position with the height of 4.15m and won the historical bronze medal in the women’s pole vault at the Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 in Japan. After winning the bronze medal, India won 23 medals including 2 gold medals,  9 silver medals, and 12 bronze medals at the Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 in Japan.
