It’s a very proud moment for our country that Indian athlete, Sawan Barwal scripted history and won the silver medal in the men’s marathon at the Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2016 in Japan. After winning the silver, India won 24 medals including 2 gold medals, 10 silver medals, and 12 bronze medals in the Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 in Japan.

Sawan Barwal was placed in the second position with the timing of 2:11. 37 seconds and won the historical silver medal in the men’s marathon at the Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 in Japan. After winning the medal, India win the medal after 44 years in the men’s marathon at the Asian Games.

Ichitaka Yanashita of Japan won the gold medal with the timing of 2:10.49 seconds and Peitou Feng of China won the bronze medal with the timing of 2:12.13 seconds in the men’s marathon at the Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 in Japan.
