India Performance in the Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2026

India participated in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026, which may be held between July 23, 2026 and August 2, 2026. It was the 19th appearance or participation of India in the Commonwealth Games. Firstly, our country debut in the Commonwealth Games in the year 1934. Indian boxer, Lovlina Borgohain and weightlifter, Mirabai Chanu served as the flag-bearer of our country during the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026. Indian boxer, Jaismine Lamboria served as the flag-bearer of our country during the closing ceremony of Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.

India won 39 medals including 13 gold medals, 17 silver medals, and 9 bronze medals and was placed in the fourth position at the Commonwealth Games 2026. Our country won the most 10 medals including 7 gold medals and 3 silver medals in the boxing event at the Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2026. Our country had its best ever performance and won 4 medals including 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 1 bronze medal in judo in several categories at the Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2026. Gulveer Singh became the first ever Indian athlete, who won 2 medals in the Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2026 including won historic silver medal with the best timing of 27:49.78 seconds in the men’s 10,000m race event and won the historic bronze medal in the men’s 5000m race event with the best time of 13:24:95 seconds at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026
