India Performance in the Para Sports in the Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2026

India makes best performance by winning 39 medals including 13 gold medals, 17 silver medals, and 9 bronze medals and was placed in the fourth position at the Commonwealth Games 2026. India won medals in several games including athletics, weightlifting, boxing, judo, and many more at the Commonwealth Games 2026.  Indian para players created history or first ever best performance by winning 7 medals including 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals at the Commonwealth Games 2026

India won 7 medals including 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals in the para sports at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026 are given below –

  1. Sharmila Dhankar won the historic gold medal with a season best throw of 9.81m in the women’s shot put F57 event and become the first ever Indian para-athlete to win the gold medal in the para-athletics in the Commonwealth Games.
  2. Soman Rana won the historic gold medal with the best throw of 13.40m in the men’s shot put F57 event at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.
  3. Dilip Gavit won the historic gold medal with a best time of 10.71 seconds in the men’s 100m T47 event at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026. 
  4. Mohammad Basil won the historic silver medal with the best time of 10.83 seconds in the men’s 100m T47 event at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.
  5. Shubham Juyal won the silver medal with the best throw of 13.28m in the men’s shot put F57 event at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.
  6. Shilpa Shyla won the historic bronze medal with the best throw of 7.26m in the women’s shot put F57 event at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.
  7. Jhandu Kumar lifted the 181 kg in the first attempt and 190 kg in the second attempt with a total lift of 371kg, and earn 130.9 points and won the bronze medal in the men’s heavyweight para powerlifting in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.
