Valluri Ajaya Babu won the silver medal in the men’s 79kg weightlifting event at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.

Valluri Ajaya Babu won the historic silver medal with a total lift of 330kg in the men’s 79kg weightlifting event at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026. Valluri Ajaya Babu lifted 149kg snatch and 181kg clean and jerk  a total lift of 330kg, and won the silver medal in thr men’s 79kg weightlifting event at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.

Hidayat Mohammad of Malaysia won the gold medal with a total lift of 331kg (147kg snatch and 184kg clean and jerk) in the men’s 79kg weightlifting event at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026. Chris Murray of England clinched the bronze medals with a total lift of 325kg (148kg  snatch and 177kg clean and jerk) in the men’s 79kg weightlifting event at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.
