It’s a proud moment of our country that Indian weightlifter, Bindyarani Devi created history and won the bronze medal in the women’s 58kg at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026. After winning the bronze medal, India won the 6 medals including one gold medal, three silver medals, and two bronze medals in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.

Bindyarani won the bronze medal with a total lift of 199kg, placed in the third position, and won the historic bronze medal in the women’s 58kg at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026. Bindyarani lifted 87kg in snatch and 112kg in clean and jerk and a total lift of 199kg, placed in the third position, and won the bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.
Rafiatu Folashade of Nigeria lifted 103kg in snatch and 122kg in clean and jerk and a total lift of 225kg, placed at the top position, and won the gold medal while Ann Sophie of Canada clinched the silver medal with a total lift of 215kg (94kg snatch + 121kg clean and jerk) in the women’s 58kg at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.
Earlier, Bindyarani Devi won the silver medal with a total lift of 202kg (86kg snatch + 116kg clean and jerk) in the women’s 55kg at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in the year 2022.
