Mirabai Chanu won the historic gold medal in the women’s 48kg weightlifting

Its a great and happy news that Indian weightlifter, Mirabai Chanu created history and won the gold medal in the women’s 48kg weightlifting event in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026. Mirabai Chanu won the first gold medal for India in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026. After winning the gold medal, Mirabai Chanu won three gild medals and one silver medal in the weightlifting event in the Commonwealth Games. It’s a third medal for India in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.

Mirabai Chanu lifted a 190 kg with the best effort of 85 kg in snatch and 105 kg in clean and won the historic gold medal in the women’s 48kg weightlifting event in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026. After winning this gold medal, India won three medals including one gold medal, one silver medal and the bronze medal in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026. Ruth Asuquo Nyong of Nigeria won the silver medal with a total lift of 168 kg in the women’s 48kg weightlifting event in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.

Earlier, Mirabai Chanu won the gold medal in the women’s 49kg weightlifting event in the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in the year 2022. She also won the gold medal in the women’s 48kg weightlifting event in the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast in the year 2018. She also won the silver medal in the women’s 48kg weightlifting event in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2014.

Earlier, Mirabai Chanu won the silver medal in the women’s 49kg weightlifting event in the Tokyo Olympics in the year 2020.
