Introduction – Sifan Hassan is an athlete who is a middle and long-distance runner that belongs to the Netherlands. She is known for participating in running championships in the global event such as olympics, and many other major sport events.

Earlier, Sifan Hassan won the gold medals in the 5000 m race and 10,000 m race and bronze medal in the 1500 m race in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. During the Paris Olympics 2024, she won the bronze medals in the 5000 m and 10,000 m and gold medal in the women’s marathon. Sifan Hassan is only an athlete who won medals in a middle-distance and long-distances races in the single major sport event. She become the first woman athlete to win gold medals in the 5000 m race, 10,000 m race, and marathon race in the olympic games.

Personal Life – Sifan Hassan was born in Ormia in the country of Ethiopia but she left her country as a refugee and arrived in the Netherlands at an age of 15 in the year 2008. Sifan Hassan started running in major sport events while undertaking studies to become a nurse and later she became a citizen of the Netherlands in the year 2013.

Achievements – The main achievement of Sifan Hassan is to win two gold medals in the 5000 m race and 10,000 m race and one bronze medal in the 1500 m race at the Tokyo Olympics 2024. She also won the bronze medals in the 5000m race and the 10,000m and gold medal in the women’s marathon at the Paris Olympics 2024.

Earlier, Sifan Hassan also won gold medals in the 1500 m race and 10,000 m in the World Championships 2019 at Doha. Sifan Hassan was only athelete to win gold medals in the 1500 m and 10,000 m races at the same World Athletics Championships and Olympic games.
