It’s great news for India that Nikhat Zareen (50kg) and Lovlina Borgohain (75kg) won gold medals in the Women’s World Boxing Championship. Previously both Saweety Boora (81kg) and Nitu Ghanghas (48kg) has also two gold medals in the Women’s World Boxing Championship.

Nikhat Zareen won the third gold medal for India by (5-0) in the final match against Nguyen of Vietnam in the 50 kg category. Nikhat won the second gold medal in the Women’s World Boxing Championships. Lovlina Borgohain won the fourth gold medal against Caitlin Parker of Australia with a split 5-2 verdict. Lovlina won the first-ever gold medal in the Women’s World Boxing Championship.
