Introduction – World Heart Day is celebrated every year on September 29 across the world to spread awareness about the risk of several heart diseases. This international day is a worldwide campaign that helps in educating people about the risk of cardiovascular diseases due to an unhealthy diet and physical inactivity.

History – President of the World Heart Federation (WHF) first suggested the idea to celebrate World Heart Day across the world. Thus, World Heart Day is firstly observed on September 21, 2000, worldwide. Till 2011 when this international day was celebrated on the last Sunday of September globally. Since 2012, World Heart Day is observed annually on September 29 to spread awareness about the importance of a healthy heart among common people all around the world.
Theme – The theme of World Heart Day in the year 2022 is “Use Heart for Every Heart” which highlights the aim to bring together for fighting against heart diseases across the world.
Significance – The main aim of World Heart Day is to spread awareness about the risk of heart disease that leads to death and highlights the significance of the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. This international day educates about several heart diseases which are a threat to your life among common people across the world. The main purpose of this international day is to lower the risk of heart attack or stroke through take precautions regarding drinking and eating habits. This international aims to inform common people about how to lower the risk factors of a heart attack which are linked with physical inactivity, unhealthy diet, smoking, and tobacco consumption.
