History – The idea is to celebrate the international day for pharmacists during the International Pharmaceutical Federation’s meeting in Turkey in the year 2009 to promote the important role of pharmacists in improving health worldwide. The International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) was established on September 25, 1912, so, World Pharmacist Day has celebrated annually on September 25 all around the world. International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) is a global group of national associations of pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists across the world. This global day also celebrates the anniversary of the establishment of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP). The main purpose of this international day is to promote the important role of pharmacists to promote health worldwide.

Theme – The theme of World Pharmacists Day in the year 2022 is “Pharmacy united in action for a healthier world” which concentrates on the role of pharmacists to improve health globally.

Significance – The main goal of this international day is to honor the work of all pharmacists with their crucial role in society. This international day aims to strengthen solidarity among common people in the profession with the common agenda for everybody being the health of individuals across the world.
