International Rabbit Day 2022

Introduction – International Rabbit Day is celebrated on the fourth Saturday of September every year across the world. This international is observed on September 24 to encourage and care for both domestic and wild rabbits. Rabbits are also called as bunnies that are small mammals in the family Leporidae. Rabbits are one of the cutest and most adorable animals and they are popular for their speed and charming attitude.

In the past several years, the population of rabbits has been reducing and resulting in a larger impact on our natural ecosystem. Thus, the main purpose of this international day is to spread awareness about the preservation of rabbits among common people worldwide.

History – The Rabbit Charity was established the International Rabbit Day in the United Kingdom in the year 1998. The main aim of this international day is to raise awareness about the protection and conservation of rabbits across the world.

Significance – Rabbits are one of the most loveable mammals and are known for their charming attitude. Most children like rabbits as pet animals in their home and they love to play. But the population of rabbits is decreasing. So this international aims to protect and conservation of this cutest animal all around the world.
