In the last or sixth match of Super 4, Sri Lanka won the match by 5 wickets with Pakistan due to great performance in bowling. Both Pakistan and Sri Lanka already reached the final of Asia Cup 2022 in Dubai.  After winning this match, Sri Lanka won all three consecutive matches of Super 4 in the Asia Cup 2022. Previously Sri Lanka won the match with India and Afghanistan in the Super 4 matches.

Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bowl first thus Pakistan first batted and was all out at only 121/10 in 19.1 overs due to great bowling by Wanindu Hasaranga 3/21 (4), Pramod Madushan 2/21 (2.1), Maheesh Theekshana 2/21 (4), Chamika Karunaratne 1/4 (1), and Dhananjaya de Silva 1/18 (4). Babar Azam 30 (29), Mohammad Nawaz 26 (18), and Mohammad Rizwan 14 (14) were good batting from the Pakistan side. After this inning, Pakistan set a target of 122 runs in 20 overs for Sri Lanka to win this match.

During chasing, Sri Lanka loses 5 wickets, reached the target of 122 runs in the 17^th overs, and won the match by 5 wickets with Pakistan due to good batting by Pathum Nissanka 55* (48), Bhanuka Rajapaksa 24 (19), and Dasun Shanaka 21 (16). Haris Rauf 2/19 (3), Mohammad Hasnain 2/21 (3), and Usman Qadir 1/34 (4) were good bowling from the Pakistan side.

Wanindu Hasaranga (SL), 3/21 (4), was declared as the Player of the Match due to his great performance in bowling.
