Sharath Kamal Achanta won the Gold Medal in Table Tennis at the Commonwealth Games 2022

It’s a very proud moment for our country that Indian table tennis player, Sharath Kamal Achanta won the gold medal in table tennis at the commonwealth games 2022 in Birmingham. He won the gold medal in the men’s singles event at the ongoing commonwealth games 2022. After winning this gold medal, Sharath Kamal won 4 medals including 3 gold medals and 1 silver medal in table tennis in several events at the commonwealth games 2022.

Sharath Kamal defeated Liam Pitchford of England by 4-1 (11-13, 11-7, 11-2 11-6 11-8) in the men’s singles badminton final match and won the gold medal in the commonwealth games 2022. After losing the first game, Sharath Kamal remarkable comeback and won consecutive 4 games against Liam Pitchford of England in the final match.

Earlier, Sharath Kamal won the gold medal in the men’s singles badminton at the commonwealth games 2006 in Melbourne. He also won the bronze medal in the men’s singles badminton at the commonwealth games 2018 in Gold Coast.
