PV Sindhu defeated Michelle Li of Canada by 21-15, 21-13 in the women’s singles in the final match and won the gold medal at the commonwealth games 2022. Previously, she also won the silver medal in the women’s singles at the commonwealth games 2022. She won the first gold medal in the women’s singles at the commonwealth games 2022.

Earlier, PV Sindhu won the silver medal in the women’s singles at the Rio Olympics 2016. She also won the bronze medal in the women’s singles at the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
