It’s a very proud moment for our country Indian Wrestler, Naveen won the gold medal in wrestling at the commonwealth games 2022 in Birmingham. This is a 6^th gold medal in wrestling for our country at the ongoing commonwealth games 2022.

Naveen won the gold medal by defeating Muhammad Sharif Tahir of Pakistan (9-0) in the final match in the men’s 74kg at the ongoing commonwealth games 2022. Firstly, he won the match with Ogbonna Emmanuel John of Nigeria (13-3) in the men’s 74kg freestyle. After that, he won the quarter-final match with Hong Yeo Lou of Singapore (10-0) on technical superiority to reach the semi-final. Later, he won the semi-final match with Charlie Bowling of England (13-1) to reach the final. This is the 12^th gold medal for India in the commonwealth games 2022 in Birmingham.
