Sakshi Malik won the Gold Medal in Wrestling in the Commonwealth Games 2022

It’s a very proud moment for our country that Indian wrestler, Sakshi Malik won the gold medal in wrestling for India in the commonwealth games 2022 in Birmingham. She won the gold medal by defeating Ana Godinez Gonzalez of Canada by fall in the women’s 62kg freestyle at the ongoing commonwealth games 2022.

Earlier, Sakshi Malik won the bronze medal in the women’s 58kg freestyle at the summer Rio Olympics 2016. The main achievement of Sakshi Malik is to become the first Indian female wrestler to win a medal in the Olympics. In past, she also won the bronze medal in the women’s 62 kg freestyle in the commonwealth games 2018 in Gold Coast. She also won the silver medal in the women’s 58kg freestyle at the commonwealth games 2014 in Glasgow.
