It’s a very big achievement for our country that the Indian women’s team – Pinki, Rupa Rani Tirkey, Lovely Choubey, and Nayanmoni Sakia created history by winning a gold medal in the women’s four Lawn Bowls final in the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham.
Indian women’s team defeated South Africa by17-10 in the finals and won the first gold medal in the women’s four Lawn Bowls at the ongoing commonwealth games. This is the 4th gold medal and 10th medal for India in the commonwealth games 2022. After winning this gold medal, India ranks 6th position in the commonwealth 2022 medals tally.
Earlier,the Indian women’s team won the semi-final match with New Zealand by 16-13 to reach the final. They also defeated Norfolk Island in the quarter-final by 17-9 to reach the semi-final.
