England won the 5th test match by 7 wickets with India

In the 5th test match between India and England, England won the test match by 7 wickets with India due to great performance in batting and bowling. After winning this test match, England level the series by (2-2) in the 5 test match series against India. Previously, India leads the series by (2-1) with England in the year 2021.

Earlier, England won the toss and chose to bowl first thus India first batted and made a huge score of 416 runs in the first inning due to great centuries by Rishabh Pant 146 (111), and Ravindra Jadeja 104 (194).  In the first inning, Jasprit Bumrah smashed him and earn run 35 runs in Stuart Broad overs that became the most expensive one ever over in the test cricket history. Jasprit Bumrah 31* (16) also good batted in the first inning from the Indian side. James Anderson 5/60 (21.5), Mathew Potts 2/105 (20), Ben Stokes 1/47 (13), Stuart Broad 1/89 (18.0), and Joe Root 1/23 (3) were good bowling from the England side.

In the first inning, England batted and was all out at 284 runs due to great bowled by Mohammed Siraj 4/66 (11.3), Jasprit Bumrah 3/68 (19), Mohammad Shami 2/78 (22), and Shardul Thakur 1/48 (7).  Jonny Bairstow 106 (140), Sam Billings 36 (57), Joe Root 31 (67), Ben Stokes 25 (36), and Mathew Potts 19 (18) were good batted from the England side. After the first inning, India lead by 132 runs against England.

India again batted and was all out at only 245 runs in the second inning due to great bowled by Ben Stokes 4/33 (11.5), Mathew Potts 2/50 (17), Stuart Broad 2/58 (16), Jack Leach 1/28 (12), and James Anderson 1/46 (19.0). Cheteshwar Pujara 66 (168), Rishabh Pant 57 (86), and Ravindra Jadeja 23 (58) were good batted from the Indian side. After this inning, India set a target of 378 runs for England to win the 5th test match.

In the second inning, England loses 3 wickets, chased successfully of 378 runs, and won the test match easily by 7 wickets due to great centuries and a record partnership of 269 runs by Joe Root 142* (173), and Jonny Bairstow 114* (145). Alex Lees 56 (65), and Zak Crawley 46 (76) were also good batted from the England side. There is only Jasprit Bumrah 2/74 (17) took 2 wickets in 74 runs in the second inning.

Jonny Bairstow (ENG), 106 & 114* was declared as the Player of the Match due to his great performance in batting.

Joe Root (ENG), was declared as the Player of the Series due to his great performance in batting in the whole test match series.
