Earlier, West Indies won the toss and chose to bowl first thus India first batted and scored 237/9 (50) due to good batted by Surya Kumar Yadav 64 (83), K.L. Rahul 49 (48), and Deepak Hooda 29 (25). Odean Smith 2/29 (7), Alzarri Joseph 2/36 (10), and Jason Holder 1/37 (9) were good bowling from the West Indies side. After this inning, India set a target of 238 in 50 overs for West Indies to win the second one-day match.

During chasing, West Indies was all out at 193/10 (46) due to great bowled by Prasidh Krishna 4/12 (9), Shardul Thakur 2/41 (9), and Deepak Hooda 1/24 (4). Sharmarh Brooks 44 (64), Akeal Hosein 34 (52), and Shai Hope 27 (54) were good batting from the West Indies side.

Due to his great performance in bowling, Prasidh Krishna (IND) 4/12 (9), was declared as the Player of the Match.
