Introduction – Universal Health Coverage Day is celebrated annually on December 12 to spread awareness about having resilient and strong outstanding health systems with multi-stakeholder partners all around the world. The main purpose of this global day is to have access to affordable health care for worldwide development.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it has more emphasized the health inequalities universally thus health justice must be high that works for universal health coverage.
History – The United Nations General Assembly has established a resolution for influencing countries to fasten the progress of universal health coverage on December 12, 2012. After that, the United Nations declared in the year 2017 that Universal Health Coverage Day is observed every year on December 12.

Theme – The theme of Universal Health Coverage Day in the year 2021 is ‘’Leave No One Behind When It Comes To Health: Invest in Health Systems for All’’
Significance – The main goal of this international day is to review the progress of the health care system across the world. Thus, it is ensured that to help poor people with an accessible and free health care system. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this global day is very important to provide health care especially for poor people worldwide.
