Introduction – World Quality Day is observed every second Thursday in November to provide an opportunity for concentrating on the importance of quality management in our lives. This international day is celebrated on November 11 in the year 2021. The main aim of this day is to raise quality awareness all around the world and support economic prosperity for people and organizations through the adoption of high-quality standards.
History – The Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) was a professional organization that is situated in London to introduce this international day. The CQI was introduced in the year 1919 and presently has a membership of 4000 people. The CQI has introduced this global day at the conference in November 2008, which was held at the Immarsat Conference Centre in London and delivered its promise of being a venue for inspiration, and innovative ideas.
Theme – The theme of World Quality Day in the year 2021 is ‘’Sustainability Improving Our Products, People, and Planet’’ which tells us about the importance of quality, in sustainability with its influence on environmental, social, and governance (ESG).
Significance – Quality plays an important role in organizations is to increase the production of products, promote profitability, and enhance reputations.
