Earlier Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to field first thus Bangladesh first batted and made a good score of 171/4 (20) due to great batted by Mohammad Naim 62 (52), and Mushfiqur Rahim 57* (37). Chamika Karunaratne 1/12 (3), Binura Fernando 1/27 (3), and Lahiru Kumara 1/29 (4) were good batted from the Sri Lanka side.
During chasing, Sri Lanka loses 5 wickets and won the match by 5 wickets with Bangladesh due to great batted by Charith Asalanka 80* (49), Bhanuka Rajapaksa 53 (31), and Pathum Nissanka 24 (21). Shakib Al Hasan 2/17 (3), Nasum Ahmed 2/29 (2.5), and Mohammad Saifuddin 1/38 (3) were good bowled from the Bangladesh side.
Due to great performance in batting, Charith Asalanka 80* (49), was declared as the Player of the Match.
