In the 9th match of ICC T20 World Cup 2021, Bangladesh won the match by 84 runs with Papua New Guinea due to great performance in batting and bowling.
Earlier Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat first and made a huge score of 181/7 (20) due to great batted by Mahmudullah 50 (28), Shakib Al Hasan 46 (37), and Liton Das 29 (23). Kabua Morea 2/26 (4), Assad Vala 2/26 (3), and Damien Ravu 2/40 (4) were greatly bowled from the Papua Guinea side.
During chasing, Papua Guinea was all out at 97 (19.3) and lose this match by 84 runs with Bangladesh due to great bowled by Shakib Al Hasan 4/9 (4), Taskin Ahmed 2/12 (3.3), Mohammad Saifuddin 2/21 (4), and Mahedi Hasan 1/20 (4) were greatly bowled from the Bangladesh side. After winning this match, Bangladesh placed at the top position in Group B with 4 points.
Due to his great performance in batting and bowling, Shakib Al Hasan (BAN) 46 (37) & 4/9 (4), was declared as the Player of the Match.
