Earlier Australia won the toss and chose to bat first and made a good score of 152/5 (20) due to good batted by Steve Smith 57 (48), Marcus Stoinis 41* (25), and Glenn Maxwell 37 (28). Ravichandran Ashwin 2/8 (2), Rahul Chahar 1/17 (3), and Bhuvneshwar Kumar 1/27 (4) were good bowled from the Indian side.

During chasing, India won the match easily by 9 wickets with Australia due to great batted by Rohit Sharma (retired hurt) 60 (41), K.L. Rahul 39 (31), and Surya Kumar Yadav 38* (27). Only Ashton 1/14 (2) good bowled from the Australian side.
