In the 56th match of IPL 2021, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won the match by 7 wickets with Delhi Capitals (DC) due to good performance in batting.
Earlier RCB won the toss and chose to bowl first thus DC first batted and made a good score of 164/5 (20) due to great batted by Prithvi Shaw 48 (31), Shikhar Dhawan 43 (35), and Shimron Hetmyer 29 (22). Mohammed Siraj 2/25 (4), Dane Christian 1/19 (2), and Yuzvendra Chahal 1/34 (4) were good bowled from the RCB side.
During chasing, RCB loses early wickets of Virat Kohli 4 (8) and Devdutt Padikkal 0 (1) at the score of 6/2 (2.1). But due to great batted by Srikar Bharat 78* (52), and Glenn Maxwell 51* (33), RCB won the match by 7 wickets with DC. Only Anrich Nortje 2/24 (4) was well bowled from the DC side. Both DC and RCB qualify for Playoffs. DC placed at the top position in the IPL 2021 points table with 20 points. RCB placed at the 3rd position in the IPL 2021 points table with 18 points.
Due to his great performance in batting, Srikar Bharat (RCB) 78* (52), was declared as the Player of the Match.
