In the 42nd match of the IPL 2021, Mumbai Indians (MI) won the match by 6 wickets with PBKS due to good performance in batting and bowling.
Earlier, MI won the toss and chose to bowl first thus, PBKS first batted and made a low score of 135/6 due to great bowled by Kieron Pollard 2/8 (1), Jasprit Bumrah 2/24 (4), and Krunal Pandya 1/24 (4). Aiden Markram 42 (29), Deepak Hooda 28 (26), and K.L. Rahul 21 (22) good batted from the MI side.
During chasing, MI loses two early wickets of Rohit Sharma 8(10), Surya Kumar Yadav 0 (1) at the score of only 16 runs. But MI won the match by 6 wickets with PBKS due to good batted by Saurabh Tiwari 45 (37), Hardik Pandya 40* (30), and Quinton de Kock 27 (29). There was a time the match was interesting, but due to the inning of Kieron Pollard 15* (7), MI won this match easily by 6 wickets against PBKS. Ravi Bishnoi 2/25 (4), and Nathan Ellis 1/12 (3) good bowled from the PBKS side. After winning this match, MI placed at 5th position in the IPL 2021 points table.
Due to good performance in bowling and batting, Kieron Pollard (MI) 2/8 (1) & 15* (7), was declared as the Player of the Match.
