In the 39th match of the IPL 2021, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won the match by 54 runs with Mumbai Indians due to great performance in batting and bowling.

Earlier MI won the toss and chose to bowl first, so RCB first batted and scored 165/6 due to great batted by Glenn Maxwell 56 (37), Virat Kohli 51 (42), and Srikar Bharat 32 (24). Jasprit Bumrah 3/36 (4), Trent Boult 1/17 (4), and Rahul Chahar 1/33 (4) good bowled from the MI side.


During chasing, MI starts with a good opener partnership of 57 runs between Rohit Sharma 43 (28), and Q de Kock 24 (23). But due to a hat trick by Harshal Patel MI lose this match by 54 runs with RCB. Harshal Patel 4/17 (3.1), Yuzvendra Chahal 3/11 (4), and Glenn Maxwell 2/23 (4) well bowled from the RCB side. During the hat trick, Harshal Patel dismissed Hardik Pandya 3 (6), Kieron Pollard 7 (10) a dangerous player, and Rahul Chahar 0 (1). After winning this match, RCB placed at the third position in the IPL 2021 points table with 12 points.

Due to his great performance in batting and bowling, Glenn Maxwell 56 (37) & 2/23 (4), was declared as the Player of the Match.
