RR won by only 2 runs with PBKS

Rajasthan Royal won by only 2 runs against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 32nd match of the IPL 2021 due to great performance in bowling in the last over.

Previously PBKS won the toss and chose to bowl first so RR first batted and scored 185/10 (20) due to great batted by Yashasvi Jaiswal 49 (36), Mahipal Lomror 43 (17), and Evin Lewis 36 (21). Arshdeep Singh 5/32 (4), Mohammad Shami 3/21 (4), and Harpreet Brar 1/17 (3) well bowled from the PBKS side.  RR set the target of 186 against PBKS to win the match.

During chasing PBKS started with a great opener partnership of 120 runs between K.L. Rahul 49 (33), and Mayank Agarwal 67 (43) was in very strong position to win the match. But in the last over of Kartik Tyagi took two wickets with dot balls and RR won this great match by only 2 runs. After winning this match, RR placed at 5th position in the IPL 2021 points table.

Due to great performance in bowling in the last over, Kartik Tyagi 2/29 (4) RR, was declared as the Player of the Match.

  1. That was a thriller match! Never expected Rajasthan to make such a comeback!! Special mention to Karthik Tyagi for his magnificent final over. Also good batting display by RR batters! Tough luck PBKS!
