Indian wrestler, Ravi Dahiya wins the silver medal by losing the final or gold medal match with a Russian wrestler, Zavur Uguev by (4-7) in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. He became the second Indian wrestler after Sushil Kumar to win the silver medal in Olympics.

Ravi has competed with a very tough opponent Russian wrestler, Zavur Uguev in the men’s freestyle 57kg final. Russian wrestler, Zavur Uguev was a two-time defending world champion in the men’s 57kg freestyle category.

Earlier, Ravi Dahiya has won with two great wins in the men’s freestyle 57 kg. Firstly, he defeated Colombian wrestler 13-2 and Bulgarian wrestler 14-4. He won the semifinal match with Kazakhstan wrestler and enter into final with an assurance of a silver medal in the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Ravi Dahiya also became the 5th Indian wrestler after KD Jadhav in 1952, Yogeshwar Dutt (2012), Sushil Kumar (2008) & (2012), and Sakshi Malik (2016) for securing Olympic medal for India.
