It’s a proud moment for our country that Neeraj Chopra created history and wins a historic Gold Medal in the Men’s Javelin Throw Final at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. The first attempt by Neeraj Chopra with a throw of 87.03 meters. In the second attempt, Neeraj improved and throws an 87.58m and won a Gold Medal for India.


Neeraj Chopra is the first Indian player who won the gold medal in Athletics in the Olympic games. It’s India’s 7th medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 the best ever medal performance for India.


It is important to note that Neeraj Chopra’s Gold Medal is also India’s second-ever individual Gold Medal at the Olympics after Abhinav Bindra in the shooting. Earlier Abhinav Bindra won a Gold Medal for India in the men’s 10m air rifle at the Beijing Olympics 2008. Abhinav won the first ever Individual gold medal for India at the Beijing Olympics 2008
