Today it’s very sad news for cricket fans that all the matches are suspended of IPL 2021 due to several cricket players, and staff are tested positive for Covid-19.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Indian Premier League Governing Council (IPL GC) have decided in an emergency meeting that they postponed all the matches of the IPL 2021 season due to some players and staff members are tested for Covid-19.

Earlier two players of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) namely Sandeep Warrier and Varun Chakravarthy are tested positive for Covid-19 that suspended the match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on May 3, 2021. As per new reports, Wriddhiman Saha, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) wicketkeeper-batsman, and Amit Mishra, veteran spinner of Delhi Capitals are tested positive for Covid-19. Bowling coach of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Lakshmipathy Balaji, and a staff member have tested positive for Covid-19. So, the CSK squad are put in isolation as per IPL protocol.

During IPL 2021, there were 29 matches were played out of 56 league matches, and the last match between Punjab Kings (PBKS), and Delhi Capitals (DC) was played on May 2, 2021. After that, the match between KKR and RCB is suspended due to some players of KKR were tested positive for this virus on next day.
