Second wave of Covid-19 dangerously spread in India

Now the second wave of coronavirus infection is spreading rapidly in India and the highest case and crosses more than 2.9 lakhs coronavirus cases since the epidemic began in the year 2019. At present India is the 5th-worst-hit country as per of increasing active cases. Total deaths in India due to coronavirus is about 182,553

The highest one-day coronavirus cases in Maharashtra are about 68,631 with 501 deaths since the pandemic began.

Difference in the first wave and second wave of Covid-19 – The second wave of Covid-19 cases is more rapid as compared with an earlier wave in September-October last year. In the first wave, it took 32 days for the coronavirus cases to increase from 18,000 to 50,000. But in the second wave, the cases have increased at nearly double, and took only 17 days for the cases to rise from 18,377 to 50,518 in this year.

During the first wave, it took 31 days for the daily Covid-19 cases to rise from 11,000 to 21,900 and the same rise took in only 9 days in the second wave in Maharashtra. The positivity rate in Maharashtra is nearly 21 percent. In Mumbai, it took 24 days in the daily cases and rise from 850 to 2100 in the second wave but in the first wave, it took 6 more days.

The new cases in the state of Gujrat, it took 6 days for the cases to rise from 900 to 1,500 in the second wave and took 30 days in the first wave. A rapidly increase in the cases also in Punjab and reported more than 2,661 cases per day since March 25, 2021.

During the first wave, it took 40 days for new cases to rise from 200 to 1,400 in Chhattisgarh, and now the same rise took 24 days in the second wave. In India, the total active cases of Covis-19 crossed the 5 lakhs on March 31, 2021. About 80.17 percent of the total active cases in five states such as Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, and Punjab.

The death related to Covid-19 have also increased by 51 percent in the previous week and has been reported more than 200 deaths daily in the last 6 days.

The rapid rises in the case of Covid-19 due to not precautions taken by the common people when the restrictions are relaxed in our country. Now the discovery of a new strain of Covid-19 which is more transmissible which is a very serious problem.

We will hope for vaccinations that help in controlling the case of coronavirus. Each and every person must take vaccination to prevent the spread of the virus. After vaccination, we should still take precautions to lower the case of coronavirus are as given below –

  • Regular wash hand for 20 seconds when came from outside
  • Wear mask
  • Avoid visiting crowded places
  • Do not spit outside
  • Social distancing

Conclusions – If you want to prevent the spread the second wave of coronavirus then should take vaccines in your city hospital and still take precautions that help in lower the cases.
