Deficiency of Vitamin B5 – Deficiency of vitamin B5 causes several problems are as given below –

  • Fatigue
  • Impaired muscle coordination
  • Headache
  • Irritability
  • Gastrointestinal problems

Due to a lack of vitamin B5, it can lower the metabolism of fats, carbohydrates, and proteins. There are some other symptoms due to lack of vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid) are as given below –

  • Abdominal cramps
  • Vomiting
  • Nausea
  • Muscle cramps
  • Restlessness
  • Sleep disturbances (Insomnia)

The lack of vitamin B5 is also related to gastrointestinal immunity and nervous system, reduced growth rate, changes in body hair, and skin lesions.

Sources of Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid) – There are various sources of vitamin B5 or Pantothenic Acid such as eggs, potatoes, avocado, mushrooms, nuts, dairy milk, brown rice, legumes, broccoli, organ meats (kidney, liver), chicken, and beef that helps in lowering the diseases which are caused due to lack of vitamin B5

Overdose of vitamin B5 – The overdose of vitamin B5 supplement may also cause some difficulties such as stomach upset, excessive stress, diarrhea, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and many more.
