Main Disaster in 2020 : Covid-19

There are several serious are spread which are dangerous for the life all around the world such as Ebola, Aids, and many more diseases. Now Corona Virus is one of the dangerous diseases in which lakhs of people have died and crores are infected worldwide

Now there is a new virus namely mutant coronavirus is spread in the United Kingdom which may be 70 percent dangerous to Covid-19. It spread rapidly and more dangerous as compared with Covid-19 which is a very serious problem all over the world. So, most of the countries including India ban airways from Britain. But several cases of new mutant virus are identified in India. Therefore, precautionary step to celebrate upcoming new year and other festivals that prevent the spread of the new type of mutant virus.

First of all, let us discuss what is Corona Virus?

Corona Virus – It is a family of a large number of viruses that affect the respiratory system of mammals including humans. This type of virus may be linked with pneumonia, common cold, Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS), and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). Previously this virus is a new strain that has not been identified in humans.

As per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the year 2019, they started monitoring the outbreak of a new coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2 that causes COVID-19 and first identified the virus in Wuhan, China.

The coronavirus has spread all over countries including India due to this the World Health Organization (WHO) to declare a pandemic. Due to this coronavirus has spread worldwide, it causes millions of infections and deaths.

As per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), these several groups of people who have a higher risk of developing serious disease from COVID-19:

  • Pregnant women
  • Old age people
  • Those people who are suffering from serious diseases including cancers, obesity, heart problem, diabetes, and high blood pressure.

In the past, Human Corona Virus was first identified in the year 1960 in the noses of people suffering from the common cold.  Two human coronaviruses that are liable for a large proportion of common colds 229E and OC43

The name of the coronavirus is based on the crown-like projections on their surfaces with the Latin means of “Corona” is “crown” or “halo”. This type of infection in humans may occur throughout the winter and early spring.  This is the rare care for a human to become ill with the problem of a common cold which is caused by a coronavirus and then again catch around after four months because coronavirus antibodies do not last for a very long period.

Symptoms of coronavirus – There are some of the symptoms of coronavirus which are as given below

  • Fever
  • Sneezing
  • Cough
  • Loss of smell or taste
  • Runny nose
  • Exacerbated asthma
  • Diarrhea
  • Shortness of breath
  • Breathing problem
  • Sore throat
  • Fatigue

Treatment of coronavirus – Till now there is no vaccine available for the treatment of coronavirus however, several are in development in some countries. Some tests are used in detecting the infection early even if an individual is not experiencing any symptoms. But there are some precautions that prevent the spreading of the coronavirus are as given below –

  • Drink a large amount of water
  • Take medicine such as ibuprofen or naproxen, acetaminophen for reducing fever and pain
  • Take Rest and avoid overexertion.
  • Avoid smoking and not to visit smoky areas
  • Should use a cool-mist vaporizer or clean humidifier.
  • Use hand sanitizer
  • Regular wash hands

There are several standard recommendations for preventing infection such as

  • Covering nose and mouth during sneezing and coughing thoroughly cooking eggs and meat.
  • Daily hand washing
  • Avoid close contact with a person who is suffering from the symptoms of respiratory illness such as sneezing and coughing.

Types of coronaviruses – There are several types of human coronaviruses are as given below –

  • OC43 (beta coronavirus)
  • NL63 (alpha coronavirus)
  • 229E (alpha coronavirus)
  • HKU1 (beta coronavirus)

There are rarer several types of coronaviruses such as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV) and Middle Respiratory Syndrome (MERS).  In the previous year 2019, a dangerous new strain started circulating but it does not have an official name.  As per health authorities, these are currently referring as 2019 Novel Corona Virus (2019-nCov).

Let us discuss in detail 2019-nCov,

2019-nCov – In the year 2019, the Centers Control and Prevention (CDG) started observing the occurrence of a new coronavirus. As per health authorities, they first identified the virus in Wuhan, China, and named it 2019 Novel Corona Virus (2019-n-Cov)

There are a large number of people have contacted in China. As per health authorities, they have identified several other people who are suffering from 2019-nCov all around the world including several individuals in the United States. The virus passed from one person to another in the US on January 31, 2020. The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared a public health emergency which is related to 2019-nCov.

There are several symptoms of this infection which are as given below –

  • Cough
  • Fever
  • Breathing problem

After infection, it may take 2 to 14 days to identify these symptoms.

SARS – It stands for Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome. This type of infectious disease is caused by the SARS-CoV Corona Virus. SARS typically led to a life-threatening form of pneumonia.

In November 2002, this type of virus began in the Guangdong Province in southern China, finally reaching Hong Kong and it rapidly spread all over the world affecting the people of 37 countries.

It is unique and can infect both the lower and upper respiratory tract which can also cause gastroenteritis.

There are several symptoms of SARS which are as given below –

  • Diarrhea
  • Aches
  • Dry coughing
  • Chills
  • Problem in breathing

Afterward, it may develop pneumonia is a severe lung infection and in the most dangerous stages, it causes failure of the heart, liver, or lungs.

MERS – It stands for Middle Respiratory Syndrome was first identified in the year 2012 which is caused by the MERS-Corona Virus. This type of infectious disease was first identified in Saudi Arabia afterward spread to other several countries. This type of virus has also reached the United States and the huge occurrence in the Arabian Peninsula and South Korea in the year 2015.

There are some of the symptoms of this infectious disease is as given below –

  • Coughing
  • Fever
  • Breathing problem

The main reason for spreading this disease is through close contact with an infected person. Most of the cases of this type of Corona Virus are connected with people who are currently returned from the Arabian Peninsula.
