Chinese company, Vivo has introduced the Y79 smartphone in Chinese market. It is currently available in Champagne, Matte Black and Rose Gold colors at a price of CNY 2,498 (approximately Rs 24,500) on the website of the company. The delivery of the smartphone will begin from November 11.
The Y79 smartphone offers a 5.99-inch HD+ with a resolution of 720×1440 pixels IPS and operates on Android 7.1 operating system. The screen is Full View display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and the screen is secured by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and 2.5D curved glass. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 (MSMM8953) octa-core SoC and a 4GB of RAM. The device offers the storage of 64GB that can be expandable up to 256GB by using microSD card and is back up by a 3225mAh battery. It also offers the AK4376A Hi-Fi Audio chipset.\
The smartphone comes with a camera at rear of 16-megapixel rear camera and a camera at front of 24-megapixel front camera. The front camera has an f/2.0 aperture, , 1/2.78-inch sensor, and a ‘Moonlight Glow’ soft selfie light whereas rear camera has an f/2.0 aperture and dual LED flash. It has several features such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, 3.5mm audio jack, and FM radio. There are several sensors in the smartphone including accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, and proximity sensor. The size of the smartphone is 155.8×75.7×7.7mm and weighs 160 grams. It features a 3225mAh battery.
