RIP Nana Patekar Sir

It’s a very heartbreaking, shocking, unbelievable, and sad news that Indian Bollywood actor, Nana Patekar died due to cardiac arrest at the age of 75 in Goa on October 8 in the year 2026. He was found unconscious in his flat in the city of Goa after experiencing cardiac arrest in Goa. He was immediately went to hospital and Doctors tried to save by giving CPR about 45 minutes but they could not saved his life.

The real name of Nana Patekar is Vishwanath Patekar who was an Indian actor and filmmaker and mostly worked in Hindi and Marathi movies. He was one of the great and best actors in Bollywood or Indian cinema. Nana Patekar won 4 Filmfare Awards, 3 National Film Awards, 2 Maharashtra State Film Awards, and Filmfare Awards Marathi for his best acting performances. He was also received Padma Shri Award in the year 2013 for his great performance and contribution to Indian cinema.

Nana Patekar was born in the Marathi family on January 1 in the year 1951 in Mumbai. He started his career in the first serial Garman, which was released in the year 1978. Nana Patekar also received or won the National Film Award and Filmfare Award for his great best supporting role in the movie Parinda, which was released in the year 1989. He also worked in the movie Prahar: The Final Attack, which was released in the year 1991, whiv was nominated for his great or best story in the 37th Filmfare Awards. He also worked with super star Shahrukh Khan in the movie Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, which was released in the year 1992. He also appeared in the movie Angaar, which was released in the year 1992 and won Filmfare Award for best negative role or villain in this movie.

Nana Patekar also worked with great actor Raaj Kumar in the movie Tirangaa, which was released in the year 1993. He also appeared in the movie Krantiveer, which was released in the year 1994 and received or won the National Film Award and Filmfare Award for best acting performance. He also worked with actress, Manisha Koirala in the movie Agni Sakshi, which was released in the year 1996 and received or won the National Film Award for best supporting actor in the year 1997. He also worked with super star Salman Khan and actress Manisha Koirala in the movie Khamoshi: The Musical, which was released in the year 1996.

Nana Patekar also worked in the movie with Shahrukh Khan, Karishma Kapoor, and Sanjay Kapoor in the movie Shakti: The Power, which was released in the year 2002. He also appeared in the movie Ab Tak Chhapan, which was released in the year 2004. He also worked with super star, Ajay Devgan, and actress Bipasha Basu in the movie Apharan, which was released in the year 2005. He also worked with actor John Abraham and actress Sameera Reddy in the movie Taxi no 9211, which was released in the year 2006. He alsi worked with several actors including Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Feroz Khan, Katrina Kaif, Mallika Sherawat,Mushtaq Khan, and Paresh Rawal in the super hit comedy movie, Welcome, which was released in the year 2007.

Nana Patekar also appeared with several actors including Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpayee, Ajay Devgan, and Naseeruddin Shah in the movie, Rajneeti,which was released in the year 2010. He also worked with several actors including, John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, and Paresh Rawal in the movie Welcome Back, which was released in the year 2015. He also worked in the Marathi movie, Natsamrat, which was released in the year 2016 and received the Filmfare Award for best acting performance in this movie.

In case of personal life, Nana Patekar married  to Neelkanti in the year 1978 with two sons but one son Durvasa died at the age of only 2 due to illness but Nana Patekar was separated from his wife. When the age of Nana Patekar is 28, his father died due to a heart attack. Nana Patekar was closed or lived with his mother. The mother of Nana Patekar died at the age of 99 on January 29 in the year 2019.

In his career, Nana Patekar joined the Territorial army as a captain in the year 1988 and underwent training for about 3 months and worked with General V. K. Singh to prepare for the super hit movie, Prahaar: The Final Attack, which was released in the year 1991. Later, Nana Patekar worked as a major in the Maratha Light Infantry during the Kargil War in the year 1999 and retired as a lieutenant colonel from the Territorial Army in the year 2013. Nowadays, Nana Patekar lived in a 1BHK apartment in Andheri Mumbai in the state of Maharashtra.
