Knuckle ball is a bowling technique, which was adopted in cricket from baseball. The knuckler or knuckle ball has been brought in cricket probably by left hand bowler Alan Davidson, Later, Jeetan Sareen developed the knuckle ball in cricket in the year 1989  but Indiab fast bowler, Zaheer Khan firstly introduced the knuckle ball during the World Cup Cricket in the year 2011.

Zaheer Khan is a former Indian cricketer who was a left hand fast bowler in the Indian national cricket team between the year 2000 and 2014. He also played for Worcesteshire in country cricket and also played for Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils in Indian domestic cricket. He was the second most successful Indian pace bowler in test cricket behind Kapil Dev. As per Indian coach, Gary Kirsten. Zaheer Khan developed or introduced the knuckle ball in the world cup cricket in the year 2011. As per record, Zaheer Khan joined Worcesteshire and took 10 wickets in England against Somerset on debut. He also took 9 wickets against ESSEX.
