Imam-al-Naqi is also called as Ali Al-Hadi, tenth Shia Imam, was brought from the city of Medina to Samarra by Mutawakki, Abbasid Caliph in the year 848 CE, who spent house arrest or jail for about 20 years in the prison cell. As per Islamic history, Mutawakki, Abbasid Caliph, forced jail or prison to Imam al-Naqi to move Medina to Samarra for jail because fear of political and hostility toward the Shia community.

I also visited to jail where Imam al-Naqi lived for about 20 years near to Samarra in Iraq while traveling between Samarra and Najaf in Iraq. I visited or ziarat that place with my family and group members. After that, I also took memorable photos at that place with my family and group members while traveling between Samarra and Najaf in Iraq.
