How do you differentiate normal pain from fibromyalgia

Everyone experiences pain occasionally, which may be headache, knee pain, back pain, hip pain, stomach pain, foot pain, and many more pain. These are normal pain and subside by taking normal drugs or medicines.

Fibromyalgia is a widespread pain, which include sleep problems, tiredness, tingling, memory trouble,  bowel or bladder problems, and numbness. Fibromyalgia is estimated to affect 2 percent to 8 percent of population. Generally, women are more affected and they are around 80 percent of total affected individuals. The exact cause of fibromyalgia is still not known. It is thought to be genes inherited from parents. It may be abnormal levels of certain chemicals in the brain and changes in the way of central nervous system. It may occur due to an injury or infection giving birth having an operation, death of loved ones, and many more. Generally, it develops between the age of 30 to 50 but may also occur in people of any age. Suggested treatment is medication such as anti-depression medicines and pain killers, exercise, and life style changes.

If the pain persists continuously and does not subside with normal medication then it is not normal pain but it is fibromyalgia.
