It’s a shocking,unbelievable, and sad news that Indian actress, Asha Singh died at the age of 86 due to lung infection on August 22, 2026 in Mumbai. As per report, she was suffering from lung infection for three months. Asha Singh was popular for her great role as Kripi (sister of Kripacharya or wife of wife of Dronacharya) in the popular serial  Mahabharat, B.R Chopra epic television series.

Asha Singh was also known for first female mimicry artist to recreate the voice of popular or legendary actress, Meena Kumari. She also worked as the supporting role in the popular movie Baazigar with a superstar, Shahrukh Khan, which was released in the year 1993. She also worked in several other movies including Aansu Bane Angaarey, Ghar Bazar, Bobby Jasoos, Aag, Deewangee, Deedar,Kayda Kanoon, Jungle Beauty, Rakhwale, and many more movies.
