Presently, India makes best performance by winning 39 medals including 13 gold medals, 17 silver medals, and 9 bronze medals and was placed in the fourth position at the Commonwealth Games 2026. India won medals in several games including athletics, weightlifting, boxing, judo, and many more at the Commonwealth Games 2026.

 India won 8 medals including 1 gold, 6 silver, and 1 bronze in the weightlifting in several categories at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026 are given below –

1. Mirabai Chanu lifted a 190 kg with the best effort of 85 kg in snatch and 105 kg in clean and won the historic gold medal in the women’s 48kg weightlifting event in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.
2. Rishikanta Singh scripted history to lift 121kg and set a new Commonwealth Games in snatch record in his third attempt and later lifted 143kg in the clean and jerk with a total of 264kg, placed in the second position, and won the historic silver medal in the men’s 60kg weightlifting event at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.
3. Raja Muthupandi lifted 126kg in snatch and 160kg in clean and jerk and total lift of 286kg in the men’s 65kg weightlifting event at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.
4. Valluri Ajaya Babu lifted 149kg snatch and 181kg clean and jerk  a total lift of 330kg, and won the silver medal in thr men’s 79kg weightlifting event at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.
5. Lovepreet Singh lifted 176kg in snatch and 212kg in clean and jerk with a total lift of 388kg in the men’s +110kg at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.
6. Gyaneshwari Yadav lifted 88kg in snatch and 111kg in clean and jerk and a total lift of 199kg, placed in the second position, and won the historic silver medal in the women’s 53kg at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.
7. Harjinder Kaur lifted 101kg in snatch and 126kg in clean and jerk, placed at the second position, and won the historic silver medal in the women’s 69kg at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.
8. Bindyarani Devi lifted 87kg in snatch and 112kg in clean and jerk and a total lift of 199kg, placed in the third position, and won the bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.
