After winning the bronze medal, India won 39 medals including 13 gold medals, 17 silver medals, and 9 bronze medals in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.

Gulveer Singh was placed in the third position with the best time of 13:24:95 seconds and won the historic bronze medal in the men’s 5000m race event at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026. Mathew Kipsang of Kenya won the gold medal with the best time of 13:23:61 seconds while Ky Robinson of Australia clinched the silver medal with the best time of 13:24:70 seconds in the men’s 5000m race event at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026.
Earlier, Gulveer Singh won the historic silver medal with the best time of 27:49:78 seconds in the men’s 10,000m race event at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the year 2026. Gulveer became the first Indian to win two medals in the men’s 10000m race and 5000m race in the Commonwealth Games.
