What’s a chapter of your life you’d title “The Hard Years” — and what got you through it?
In several years ago, I got a good job as a Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) in a reputed production company with a high salary. But due to recession, I left the company and problems or hard days started of my life. I searched several years to get job in the production company with a high salary but failed to get a job.
Due to interest in writing, I decided to make a career in the content writing and tried to get a job as a content writer in a reputed company with a suitable salary but continuously failure and later worked as a freelance content writer and work on several projects with several clients but less earn money. One to two years ago, I have less freelance writing projects due to ChatGPT technology. Due to not get job, I avoided by my family members and friends, which is my hard years of my life
After that, my father had heart attack in the previous year, which is one of the hard days or year of my life. Previously, I felt stressed or depressed due to not getting a good job and my father had heart attack, which felt double depression or hardest year of my life. Nowadays, I still work as a freelance content writer and work on some projects but still less earning money and also feel depressed about my father’s health. I do not concentrate on my work because of feeling depressed about my father’s health.
Thank you for sharing your story so honestly. Life can bring seasons of disappointment, but they do not define your future.
One suggestion: continue investing in your writing skills, learn to use AI as a tool rather than seeing it as competition, and keep building a portfolio that showcases your best work. Many employers value people who are willing to adapt and keep learning.
I also hope your father continues to recover. Stay strong, keep moving forward, and don’t give up. The right opportunity may come when you least expect it. Wishing you and your family all the best.
